Ren Yang is a Taiwanese documentary filmmaker and journalist whose work explores memory, identity, and cross-cultural narratives.
Growing up between Taipei, Bali, and a Taiwanese Indigenous community, Ren developed a deep sensitivity to cultural diversity and how place, culture, and tradition shape identity.

In 2021, he participated in an exchange program at the University of Lapland in Finland. He graduated from the School of Creative Media at City University of Hong Kong in 2022. Currently, he is a second-year master’s student in the Graduate Institute of Journalism at National Taiwan University.
